Not quite what I expected when you where writing about nuclear silos and cruisers, but I think its a good start.
Here some suggestions:
- There should be less water in the fighting area of the map. this tutorial could help you to make some nice terrain for your new maps http://buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2788
- I also think think you should lower the terrain height at the spawn as people can't build on top of it
- When using voxed, you could try to make some bigger spheres in the beginning and then delete some parts out of or insert smaller spheres it to make it look more random (also works with caves).
- you can use "v" in voxed to select a texture. This makes caves look a lot more interesting. You can also use "p" to paint textures in voxed

1) find and destroy the Oil refinery
2) Find and destroy The space shuttle
3) capture intel
4) take down air control tower (will have a helipad on top)
5) Lay waist to the telecom relay
