Every since that Battlefield 4 demo I have been dieing to make Shanghai in AoS. In has token me a long time though as JoJoe's blender tool is hard to make flat surfaces in so I had to make the heightmap from scratch. I did use the textures found in the rig though for the water and base terrain. The models are from simox and influx or someone, trees from lost motel. When I first started making the map it was going to be as exact as possible but simox's models are freaking weird as heck. They are all weird sizes and stuff. I also realized that the reason Shanghai is great is because it is designed for Battlefield not AoS.
So I had to change the layout, thus I ripped off influx's map design and added my own touch. South of the village is the shopping district near the southern bridge. Next to the village is a large hospital that makes a great sniping spot though there is not much cover on top. To the north of the village is an abandoned government building. The spawns follow the same sort of layout of attack on deuces with the models by Jojoe. The map is great for CTF,TDM, and tow. My next map will be for arena!
