I need some help with changing the position of a custom sight relative to the rifle I want to mount it on. I've made an Eotech Holographic sight that I want to mount on an SMG or rifle. The problem I'm having is that, if I change the view.as of the weapon I want to put it on, I keep getting an error. Is anyone willing to put in the time to post a tutorial about how to mount a scope/sight1/sight2.kv6 etc to a weapon.kv6? It would be a huge help, thanks!

Examine existing scripts thouroughly.
Also there is a tutorial linked in my sig, it's not very good, but still best around I believe.

Have you always wanted a sound tinnitus effect in AoS?
No?
Anyway, here it is for OpenSpades!

Thanks a lot man. I've since learned how to place and size sights through a TON of trial and error but I just looked at your tutorial today and it helped me figure how to move a charging handle during reload animation (with the help of the Paratrooper's M4 Magpul script). I have a few things to smooth out but I should be posting my M16A4 within the next week if you're interested. The scripting is rudimentary at best but hey, it's working so far!

I've also got scripted mods too, they are not as nice as paratroopers, but a bit easier to read.
Can't wait for your M16A4. If the gun/script is not pretty... remember it's your first one. :)

Ha, well I definitely still have A LOT to learn. Let's just hope this game stays alive long enough to see it implemented. Anyways, here's a peek at the 3rd person model of the A4 in Slab6

yeah, I don't see the pic either. Use imgur instead of dropbox for pics. Just upload and then use the link for the BB code on forums. (Usually it's like[img]putthelinkhere[/img])

Aaaaah, I guess that makes sense lol. Well after a lot of testing with different colors I'm gonna have to keep the first person model at a "gun metal" grey tone. IMHO the 3rd person looks great but 1st person with those colors and attachments (I also had to take off the laser pointer for 1st person) just doesn't look right. Don't worry though, it will just make you feel more tactical haha. Anyways, sorry to say but you'll need to wait another week for me to iron out some small kinks. I'll keep your gums wet with some pics though lol

Well, the sooner you post WIP version of it, the sooner we can laugh at it see if anything's wrong with it. :)

so are you guys saying that there's another way to mount the sights other than adjusting its pivots?
