Glad you are diving into the asm. For the unit testing I plan on defining the tests based on the original msvc version (well the first that compiles in msvc2010 at least). That's not a high level understanding of each function's purpose but it at least get's the job done.

may i suggest a testing framework like unittest++ ?
it's pretty easy to setup, and you can validate most algorithms with it :)

Sure. I don't know of any C/C++ unit test frameworks. I am going to email Ken to see if he has anything, but feel free to start setting that up. I'll be glad to pull it.
Unit testing is not exactly specifically what I wanted, but in general, I guess it's the same, so let's just call it that.

https://github.com/Lensman/libbasnet/issues/2 Guys, good things are about to happen. (See lensman/duffpaddy's last post in thread.)
Heh, that's great! Are the white sprites in no_asm fixed now then? Also, we have to start focusing on conservative. No_asm seems like it will soon be in a presentable state, and that means assembly time! Amirite?

https://github.com/Ericson2314/Voxlap/pull/6 The bad news is my evil git-history mutating ways are back. If you all are luck I will rebase your branches for you but in the mean time be prepared.

A little status update from my part: I have done nothing.
Today I have read all Github notifications which I missed. You guys seem to have made epic progress, and it's great to see Duff Paddy has joined the effort. The rewriting types to be of the correct size and using p constraints seem like things I could do. At the moment I can't promise I'll be working on it any time soon... Sorry.
Keep up the good work.

Maps planned: Z-Fighting, Hallway Lite, Chaos Redux, Random Maze, FHQ Infiltration, Greece Push, Dracula's Castle, New York.
