Gnomescroll is a game started by haltingstate more than a year. He has been an irc regular for a while now and has been showing tech demos and screenshots to the guys in #aos since he began coding it. It has come a long way since then.

It is a space theme minecraft-esque game.

You can download the game and create an account at http://gnomescroll.com/

It is definitely worth a test drive

Looks professional, but where is it going? Is it just sci-fi Minecraft? (not that there's anything wrong with that)

One of the videos I've seen showed ppl fighting, and that sure could make a different game. I AoS we have battle oriented building, maybe they could have battle oriented crafting.

This project reminds me of this hilariously similar looking game, 3079:

Of course, I don't believe this one is ever going to be finished, since it has stopped for ages now.

I will begin to follow what's going to happen here, but sheesh. Bring some originality to this game. I am extremely burdened out of Minecraft at the moment, so if a minecraft-esque-space-game is ever going to be made... please make it happen in the moon. In a mysterious moon. With the moon's darker side for even more mysterious stuff. Make monsters/aliens a myth, something you would rarely even see. Random found alien technology stuff would make your head go dopedope.

But of course... a man can dream all day.

Its like minecraft but with less features, you can still craft and stuff but there really isn't any end game. You do have a gun so you could make a small fort in the server then get some friends together and play it like its tribes since it has a jet pack too.

It isn't tribes without spinfusors or doombringers raping the generator.
