Someone suggested that we organize weekly Saturday games, which I think is a great idea to periodically test out new features and to gather the players for matches. Even though it's probably a little too late to set anything up for today, I'll make sure to announce something for the upcoming Saturdays in the upcoming week.
I'm a little careful about advertising Subversive Takedown out to the various indie communities just yet, since I want it to be in a presentable state. However, with the latest release, I think we're quite close to this goal, so maybe with one of the next two releases, I will start sending it to Tigsource/Indie Statik/etc.

maybe have some countdown to a match, so people can tune in / plan ahead a bit?
Yeah learn_more, I'll set up a countdown for the upcoming Saturday.
Also, build 39 has been released!
Also, build 39 has been released!
Code: Select all
Linux x86-64 builds are available now (check the site). I'm still working on 32bit builds. 32bit builds are ready.Build 39
* Change crate voxel model
* Add commands.py script (currently only has /kill)
* Add command keybindings (period for selfkill only per default)
* Added teamchat
* Added quit dialog
* Add spawn delay between selecting teams
* Fix crash when holding intel on map restart
* Fix intel lost/capture bug
* Fix HUD text wrapping around camera
I think a doublepost is in order.
From this point on, on every Saturday, 17:00 (UTC), there will be an organized Subversive Takedown match on the official server where we play Metal Bridge (CTF), but also Republic of Bataac (Objective). For a countdown to the event, refer to the main site.
Make sure to come and join us! It'll be lots of fun \o/
I'm still working on the new update, which should be ready within a week or so. I've been working on a pickaxe, shoot delay, time extensions, crates that spawn appropriately near players, map rotations, bugfixes, and some other neat stuff.

Do anyone actually play this? Also Im not quite sure how to get it running :/
IGN: NIASKA, EXSentinel
Jedelas: Funder Cunt
I've fixed the timer on the website to work regardless of the timezone now.
NIASKA, we do play regularly. You can usually find someone on #st to play with, but otherwise, you should join us on the match on Saturday.

I'll try and make it, but it's hard to play with lag.
Thanks to everyone who joined! It was really a lot of awesome fun. I received some useful feedback, which I'll try and implement in build 40.

was fun, too bad not many players attended.

I may change the time, since it seems like Saturday 17:00 UTC isn't a good time for a lot of people.
In other news, I'm moving the devlog to TIGForums. BnS has worked well so far, but I think the scope of Subversive Takedown goes way beyond AoS players and voxel enthusiasts, so that's why I decided to move.
