What are you guys reading? I've just started the Wheel of Time series, and it's pretty good. I'm only about 130 pages in to The Eye of the World, but I like it a lot.

'Battle Royale (バトル・ロワイアル Batoru Rowaiaru?) is a novel by Japanese writer Koushun Takami. Originally completed in 1996, it was not published until 1999. The story tells of junior high school students who are forced to fight each other to the death in a program run by the authoritarian Japanese government, now known as the Republic of Greater East Asia.'
Anyone who hasn't read this really should.

I'm reading a Brazilian Literature book for school, "Til", from José de Alencar. It is nice, but it is a bit boring to just sit and read some 50 pages at a time.

I'm planning to buy The Man in the High Castle, Lord of the Flies and Nineteen Eighty-four. I mostly read non-fiction, science-oriented books but this year I've been trying to read more novels.

Also, Eldred, I've heard of that book, it seems nice, might buy it later.

Lord of the Flies was torturous to read for me. I'm not really sure, it was a rather interesting concept, but the author felt the need to shove a million and a half tons of symbolism down the throat of the reader, as opposed to making subtle and nuanced references that make books entertaining. There is nothing interesting about "HEY THIS CHARACTER IS SUPPOSED TO REMIND YOU OF JESUS."

Currently for school I'm reading The Scarlet Letter, and while it is a bit dense, the plot is interesting, and it becomes very thick and very intriguing within the first few chapters, which is something most books fail to do.

Now's the time to read Ender's Game, before the movie comes out. It's amazing.
