Planetside 2, F2P sci-fi MMOFPS

Played the first one during the Reserves and it was both hit and miss with me.
Aiming with a scope(or any zoomed weapon, really) was abhorrent, almost like you were going pixel by pixel.
The good part was that everyone had a fighting chance no matter what the odds... unless you were being swarmed by vehicles, then you were pretty much dead on the spot.

From what I've seen of Planetside 2, it's not bad, but they really focused on quality > quantity and forced the hype early on without having much to deliver compared to PS1's vast amount of planets and battlegrounds.
But, then again, this is the age where everyone and their mother are trying to be the next trending thing only to be left on the roadside for the next big thing. I can't blame them for rushing it.

The nice thing is, they have a good, solid base to work from, and IMHO they're going to release a lot more content in teh near future, probably including more planets/maps/etc.

On a side note, I can run it well enough on low/medium graphics on a $600 PC. It works even better once I start overclocking a bit, but I really don't need to at all. Newegg is wonderful.

I think the VS population on matherson has enough people to be two factions

Fourth faction are the players who change sides to who they want to win in times of an alert. They will usually go to Vanu on Matherson. And then even then it usually only boosts the population to 39% at max.

Mattherson NC people are just really bitter about life. I originally was NC, but I switched to Vanu because I ran into a lot of douchebags. That way, I get to make them ragequit.
