Aw hell yeah, love those games. Shame that Capcom slaughtered the series by having a third party company make it when all they've made in the past were like 2 Medal of Honor games. Also they are making it based on Dead Space. RIP Lost Planet.

I don't know why people like this game so much, I thought it was terrible. Like a bad attempt to mix Deus Ex and Thief.
Good games that work on a crappy pc! (*NEW*)

Freespace 2! It's seriously the best 3d space shooter I've ever played and even has a fanmade graphical upgrade for those of us with newfangled hardware shader support. If that one doesn't work then go for the earlier games in the series, either Descent:Freespace or their spiritual predecessor the Descent series.
Diablo 2:LoD is also pretty good if you can get onto some public server with a good community.

I also had this problem with my netbook ASUS 2005 HA. It is epic shit. Where was lags in all 2d games(10-20 fps). I forgot about 3D,nothing runs. Windows had trace of their borders(~11 borders)than you drag it.Index of performance was 2.0 or 2.1 .
Why it were:
1GB of RAM with windows 7 starter.(Main Problem)
Crap VideoCard(included to processor,Atom 270) Intel GMA 450. Epic shit,I do not want rememeber it.
If you will make free RAM I hope,It will work. seriously HL1 should run with GMA 450 too.
It will be funny if Wolfenstein 3d will have lags :)

Papers, Please. COMPLETELY FREE. A little bit difficult at times, but you'll get used to it. Trust me.
Papers, please is not yet finished, I played it, it's a pretty good indie game.

Happy Wheels. I play a tiny laptop that can barely play Subversive Takedown and Minecraft, but it runs perfectly.
