Welcome! I have recently been inspired by a friend to make Ace Of Spades on a USB stick.

What does it do? What is its benefits?:
PortaSpades allows you to play Openspades or Ace of Spades Classic from a USB stick, so no installation required!
This can be used for school or other computers that prohibits installation of content.

Features:
- Openspades 0.10
- Ace of Spades 0.75
[In Progress]- Easy to use batch launcher.

To come:
-A main launcher not in batch
-PortaSpades launcher
-Recompiling[For editing files]

Report any bugs to me please! :)

Read the Readme file for credits and usage!

This is impossible, as you would have to change the registry every time you stick in the USB. If a computer prohibits installation of content, even if you managed to make a script or application autoexecute, it is guaranteed to not be able to change the registry. That means no cutom URI registration, and the in-browser server list becomes useless. You would have to make your own server list, accesible through an application.

It sounds good on paper, but damn near impossible to execute.

As far as I know you could just get the setup and put it into your USB, then install AoS wherever you want
that is not how portable works...

Well, all you need to do is:
client.exe aos://(server ip)
as far as I'm concerned. You do that in the cmd, of course.

I am going to try this on my old laptop with a live system. It looks and smells like a good idea.

Vista+ virtualizes the registry when direct access is not allowed. It stores it to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\yerSoftware.

Also portablizing the launcher is a bit silly because the whole point of the launcher is to track AoS installs. You're better off just using the barebones client with the client.ini.
