Hello. I am Bruce Holt, and have recently discovered that the pre-Jagex versions of Ace of Spades were still up and running. I'm glad to see its still alive, but what surprised me most is that the modding community is still around as well. I took the liberty to bring back my old Modpack from the original Forums and post it here, just for remembrance's sake.

Standard issue Bolt Action Rifle, extensively used by the Rebel Army, the Amadeus Syndicate and the Ptolemaic Army. The weapon resembles the German Mauser K98 bolt action rifle, and is often used for long range engagements. The rifle has a slow rate of fire and is incredibly unreliable, often seen jamming after a few shots. Snipers serving under the Ptolemaic Army use special scoped rifles with a higher rate of fire and reliability.

Features:

- Models with iron sights and scopes;
- Models with arms and without arms;
- New sounds for shooting and reloading;
- New ammuniton icon;
- New tracers.

The iconic battle rifle returns as well. The magazine fed AR-10 Autorifle is the main secondary weapon in Metal Slug, loaded with powerful 7.62×51mm rounds. The design of the rifle is based off the Japanese Type 64 Battle Rifle fitted with an M203-like multi-purpose grenade launcher. The Amadeus Syndicate is known to have stolen AR-10 units from the Regular Army for their own use.

Features:

- Models with and without arms;
- New sounds for shooting and reloading;
- New ammunition icon;
- New tracer.

The Shotgun is one of the most powerful secondary weapons in Metal Slug. The 12-gauge rounds filled with metallic pellets are highly effective at point blank range, although the pellets lose their velocity after traveling a short distance and become harmless after a while. It can obliterate hordes of infantry with a single shot.

Features:

- Models with and without arms;
- New sounds for shooting;
- New ammunition icon.

The grenade (or Stielhandgranate) is the main optional weapon in Metal Slug. One of the advantages that these grenades have over the regular "pineapple" or "egg" grenade shapes is that they can be thrown much farther with predictable accuracy. The downside is that it does not contain any fragmentation dudded onto its casing, which means that it does less damage against infantry than the fragmentation grenades. Nevertheless, these contraptions, filled with 165 grams of explosive TNT, prove very versatile against any opposition. They are limited, and can save your life in the worst situations, so use it wisely.

Features:

- New model and explosion sound.

Rebel Soldier
Image Image
Soldiers of the Rebel Army, led by General Donald Morden, is the main enemy of the Regular Army, the Peregrine Falcons Special Forces Squad, and the S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. They started the war against the Regular Army in 2026. The rebels are the average enemies found throughout all Metal Slug games, except Metal Slug 5, where they are replaced by the Ptolemaic Infantry.

Amadeus Syndicate Soldier
Image Image
The Amadeus Syndicate serve as the main antagonists of Metal Slug 4. With the money they were able to obtain from their banks around the world, they became a very rich company. Their leader, Amadeus, was a friend of Morden, and when the Rebel Army lost their funding, the Syndicate helped them by supplying the Rebel Army with more troops, weapons, and vehicles. Amadeus Infantry wear navy blue uniforms and are generally better equipped than their green counterparts. They may be some kind of Special Forces unit, or honour guards.

Ptolemaic Guerilla
Image
The most common type of Ptolemaic soldier, armed with a wide variety of weapons and equipment. Similar to Rebel soldiers in patterns, but prefer to attack from above or at close quarters rather than at range. These soldiers can be a serious threat in numbers.

Ptolemaic Spec Ops
Image
These gasmask wearing, jumpsuit-clad Ptolemaic units can hide almost anywhere, and are adept in setting up ambushes, often leaping out of concealed trap-doors and elevator shafts to attack. They are armed with highly concealable weapons.

Ptolemaic Sniper
Image
Expert Marksmen serving under the Ptolemaic Army. They are very intelligent and can outsmart their opposition, often hiding behind bushes and camouflaged positions while taking potshots at the enemy from range. Snipers are armed with specialized scoped bolt-action rifles. Despite being trained to fight from a distance, they are surprisingly adept at close quarters as well; given the chance, they will smash an unlucky foe's head with their rifle's stock.

All "arm" models found in the weapon models were made by SIMOX.

You should post this pack on GameBanana.

If you don't have an account, can I do it?

I used to have an account there, but I don't really visit that place anymore. Feel free to put it there, just don't forget to give credit.
