Hold on, how do you make this FPS increaser when the source is closed? Called injecting into the exe process, same as hacks do. Pretty much this. I've reverse engineered the client, meaning I have the closest thing to the original source there is. From there, making changes or adding new things is ...

Okay, tried it, it works. I don't see any notable FPS difference though. (The game lags when looking up and down, thanks to Win8) Any chance to incorporate this into modloader? It seems like it's one or the other... (well, for now) I'm not sure what the win8 up/down lag is about, I don't use win8. ...

Thanks for the interest! It makes me feel good about working on it :) No ETA yet on patchloader, but you'll hear about it when it's done for sure. Maybe a month? I'm not sure. If you want to know how it's going ask me on IRC sometime. I'm not the kind of guy who writes dev blogs or whatever, especia...

how2inject learn_more's solution works, or you could use something like winject . Select client.exe in the top box, AoS framerate fix.dll in the bottom box, hit Inject. Note that I didn't make Winject, I can't guarantee its safety, but I have used it without a problem for a while. EDIT: you won't h...

better to say, you just replaced every font to the font like in chat. but anyway, this is a pretty good program Well yeah that's exactly what I did. The chat renderer is extremely fast, the everything-else renderer is extremely slow. I haven't done it yet but I'll fix the positioning/color/etc even...

Sorry for necro.
Being able to see over walls/around corners would be cheating IMO, but I could do this. Convince me it's not cheating and I'll give it a shot?

Sorry for necro. To connect over LAN, find your local IP address, say 192.168.1.1. Reverse it so it's 1.1.168.192. Stick it into http://www.geektools.com/geektools-cgi/ipconv.cgi . You get 16885952. Your local aos address is aos://16885952:port (leave off :port if you use the default port, 32887). M...

Unless you hack the game, sorry, impossible. As already said a bazillion times in this forum, no one can edit the original client without its source code. There is a flashlight in OpenSpades though, and if you can't run OpenGL there's a software renderer built-in. I've actually gone on a bit of an ...

I haven't spent any time fine-tuning it or making the text look prettier, so some text (mostly HUD stuff like health and ammo) will be a bit out of position and the wrong size and color.

Stuck playing on low resolutions or with a bad framerate? Try this out! The 0.75 font renderer is notoriously crap. I took an afternoon and replaced it with a faster one. My three "beta testers" went from about 30 to almost 60 FPS (the game is locked to 55-60). I personally went from 45 to 80 (after...
