It's dead for now :(. Maybe I'll work on it again someday. If anybody else wants to work on it I can offer advice.

It's a quake-clone + voxels! It's also written in the very awesome language Rust. I kinda want to hack it to do AoS....

Good sir, might you have mistaken a honeybee for a hornet? The copious number of hairs lead me to think so.

BUMP Just added datatypes for the bulk of the protocol. This means I'm pretty close to having a simple networking loop that can deal with the packets with some wisdom. Now that openspades exists I am thinking of making this more of a gimmick / experiment. So maybe do something like top-down 2D view ...

Once you have this, go to he github.com/yvt/openspades and read the list of dependencies and try to install them on mac. ...

Perhaps 64-player 0.76 (with openspades compatibility). Could be good, you'd just need to tweak openspades and pysnip. I guess you could use a thing I did for Powerthirst Edition? In this case I'd not send the PT version, I'd just remap the map data packet to lock out vanilla clients. Sounds good, ...

Well if you want to do something before Voxlap, learn Haskell or Rust. Voxlap/C has many warts, and learning those langauges will help you be aware of them. If you don't do that before or during, please do it after, because Voxlap/C can rot the mind.

Yes. Lensman said he did an "emergency commit" because his hard drive was making weird noises. I understand if had waited to push to github until it was breaking, as it's perfectly orthodox to redo history in a local, unmerged branch. But he should have at least made small commits too so when he mad...

Yo, I'm getting some error about not having cURL. Is this cURL the executable or cURL the library that I need? Because I definitely have the executable. You need a cURL library and headers (on Debian the package name looks like libcurl3-openssl-dev). Might want to add that to prereq list? cmake wil...
